to help maintain this
website in honor of
Rachel J. Evilsizer.
I only knew Rachel as a child, but she taught me so much.
She was left handed you see and she taught me how to
crochet.  Me being right handed I never thought I would
learn or be as good as her. She made me stick to it. And
never let me give up.  If i messed up a row and kept going
without fixing my mistakes, she would rip out the
everything that I had made and start all over.  But to this
day I can say that when I make mistakes I try to fix them.
She loved teddy bears. She had them all over her house.
We used to eat rice pudding together and get chicken
nuggets from McDonald's after I got out of school. I would
walk there certain days of the week, every week.
We met at church. She was my CCD teacher, in the 1st
grade, and our relationship started from there. She was
married to Richard Evilsizer in July of 1953. She has two
children, Allan and Twila. She loved her family so much. I
was heartbroken when she died. My grandparents went to
the funeral they offered to take me but I just wasn't ready
to say good-bye. I couldn't go. I wasn't ready to believe
that I would never see my wonderful Rachel again. She
was like a grandmother to me for many years. I will never
forget her. I am very fortunate to have had her in my life.

"Tomorrow is Easter again, I miss you, Father Miller passed away yesterday. My mom is sending flowers
to Betty, his sister. It seems like so long ago when I was just a little girl going St. Anns, seeing everyone
and then going over to CCD with you as my teacher. Trevor and Elizabeth just were confirmed. I can't
believe that you have been gone since right before my Confirmation. You are  missed dearly. Say hi to
Father Miller for me in heaven, because I know that is where the both of you are now. I will always love
you." - Danielle (friend) 04/07/07
